HDTC MediaCorder

The HDTC MediaCorder products are a revolutionary new storage system. Runs like a hard disk, yet has the reliability and capacity of tape. Simply plug it into any USB port and insert a cartridge and just like a just like a flash disk, a new drive appears.

To format, simply right-click the drive

formatting

After a few seconds, the drive is formatted and ready to go. Below is the drive properties...

drive

Copy, edit, delete , search and use just like you would any other ordinary drive. No other removable device can match HDTC's Price/capacity.

copy

When done simply eject from the front panel or from the drive menu... Just like a DVD.

eject

To hardware compress files on the fly, simply right click on a folder select  properties/advanced/compress contents

compress

From this point on  MediaCorder will compress any new files created or copied in the folder, while leaving other folder/files alone. If you want the entire drive compressed, just select compress drive in the drive properties. Works exactly the same as a NTFS formatted drive would.

An example of a filled MediaCorder with all your favorite recorded shows. Below is a simple thumbnail view using explorer, this is only a small cropped view as the list is quite large.

When you fill a MediaCorder cartridge, simply pop it out and insert another. MediaCorder cartridges are completely re-usable, erasable. format them as often as you like. Drop them in your pocket and go!

MediaCorder can work directly with MediaCenter or any application that reads and writes Files. No burning, no fuss, no muss.

(*) MediaCorders technology includes 2.6:1 Hardware compression. In most other storage schemes, this is software based and a global function, meaning it is either all on or all off. for which practically no users can make use of compression when they mix Video and music together with data. (they compress very poorly). With HDTC this can be set on a file by file, folder by folder basis. Allowing users to mix compressed data along with already compressed Music and Video Files. This truly allows users to mostly compress, while not sacrificing anything.
